“I give you until the end of this month to find love and accept a proposal. If you can’t find what you are looking for, I will announce your engagement to Lord Kenworthy.”

“You can’t be serious, Father! A month? How am I supposed to find love in a month? It is December already.”

Lady Charlotte Woodridge always had a mind of her own. Being the daughter of a duke comes with obligations and expectations, something she disapproves of wholeheartedly. She strongly detests how society works and that she is supposed to treat people differently because of their rank and standing. When a man over twenty years her senior asks for her hand in marriage and her father agrees to it, she fights back with all the stubbornness she can summon. She wants to marry for love, not because she is told to marry. When her father agrees to a compromise, it leaves her upset. Lady Charlotte has one month to find her true love and receive and accept a proposal. Was that even possible?

A short and sweet love story! 5 product stars
"Rebecca Lange has a lovely way of telling a love story, especially when she takes you to another time and place. Lady Charlotte is given little time to find a husband or her father, Duke Woodridge, will do it for her. He has chosen a man she doesn't want to marry. She meets Mr. Hendrix Worthington and a back and forth flirtatious romance begins. However, will he be the marrying kind? You'll have to read the book to find out. My favorite quote was "Everything happens for a reason. Challenges and trials can bring us to our limits, but they can help us learn and grow." This is another wonderful book to add to a growing collection. Bravo Rebecca Lange!" Kimmey Fitts - Friday, January 1, 2021
Beautifully written and great story. 5 product stars
"I enjoyed this book. Beautifully written and I was glued to it right from the beginning. I like the storyline. Charlotte is a beautiful young lady and her father want her to marry the son of a Duke. Charlotte declined to marry the son of a Duke, Lord Kenworthy. However Charlotte fell in love with Hendrick Worthington. Such a great read." Dbooksrev - Friday, January 1, 2021
Reads like a Downton Abbey Christmas special! 5 product stars
"Perfect little novella for this year. Short, sweet, romantic and full of Christmas miracles. Read it so fast that my only dislike was that it ended! Look forward to reading further writings from this author." Gemz2106 - Friday, January 1, 2021
Sweet love story. 5 product stars
"A sweet, enjoyable happy quick afternoon read. It made a the perfect Christmas Day, afternoon read. It s clean and uplifting." Stephanie Whitfield - Friday, January 1, 2021
A very sweet read. 5 product stars
"I haven t read many romances about dukes and duchesses, but this story was surprisingly heartfelt. In our fast paced world it is easily forgotten how simple love can be, and this was a great reminder. Charlotte s strong personality conflicts with society s expectation of a woman s place, regardless of her title. Hendrick s teasing had me smiling, and I could easily visualize the flirtatious dialogue between these two. A very sweet read about simplistic but deep love. Perfect for the Christmas season." M. Beautiful read, perfect for these cold December nights! 5 product stars
"I found this novella to be the perfect read for a cold December night. The author has skillfully crafted the story of Charlotte, and her pursuit of love. The story will take you back to the regency period but, despite being set in the past, you will find many of the themes approached within the book to be just as valid today, as they were back then. The book focuses on the romance between Charlotte and Hendrick, a man who encompasses everything she has dreamed of. It is full of tensed moments, where you cannot wait to turn the page and see what happens next, as well as surprise twists that will add to the delight of the reading experience. Aside from the delightful romance in which this Christmas novella is wrapped up, I appreciated the strength with which the main character fights for what she wants. Charlotte does not bow in front of her father, and she always makes a point that a love-based marriage is the only option for her. She is determined and strong, putting her trust in God to help her accomplish her dreams. Throughout the book, the reader will often encounter Charlotte dealing with important issues, including the right to choose her own path and having the happiness she deserves. Whether talking to her mother, grandparents or even her faithful servant, she will highlight that love should be the number one thing to bring people together. It was also interesting to see the development of Hendrick as a character, and how confident he was in his ability to swoop Charlotte off her feet. The two characters seem to be made for each other, and I was glad to notice the authors adding some interesting obstacles to their coming together. They fight to be together but how it will all turn out? You will have to read the book to find out! If you are looking for a beautiful Christmas read, you ve found it. Joining Hearts for Christmas is a delightful novella, which reminds us of how important love is and how we should never give up in searching for the right person. It might be set in the past but the themes approached by the author are just as valid today, and I loved the determination with which Charlotte fights for her happiness. Great read overall!" "This cozy winter Regency novella was exactly what I needed to read! I found the story charming, complete with a heroine Charlotte who was both fun and strong. I thoroughly enjoyed the winter backdrop, and nothing makes me smile more than a strict timeline-to-the-wedding... snuggle up to this quick read this holiday!!" "I am thankful to the author for sending me an ARC copy of the book! I immensely enjoyed reading this story. The story is well-written, the characters have genuine chemistry and the overall feel of the plot is happy and positive. It's a happy quick read. I'd highly recommend this book if you are looking for a whirl-wind romance, a dashing Duke like Hendrick Worthington, and a Christmas love story!" Kajal Rai - Friday, January 1, 2021
A trip to the past 5 product stars
"Joining Hearts For Christmas is a beautiful, romantic story about a young woman fighting for love against the rules of society. Charlotte's adventures is a reminder that love stories a la Barbara Cartland are still a favourite among romantics and also that there is nothing more anyone would wish for Christmas." Solid four stars for a heartwarming Christmas story. 4 product stars
"Born into British nobility, Charlotte Woodridge is to be married to a man she doesn't love. Fighting for the right to choose her own husband, she is given until the end of the month to find a man she can love - one who isn't below her rank, of course, or her father won't approve of a union. Though set into the past, this novelette adresses many themes still present in today's world. Even today, women are still denied the right to choose their own path and gain happiness in life. Even today, many women fall victim to the goals of others. This story is about a brave young woman who held her own, who fought for her happiness, and didn't back down in fear of relatives who thought to know what's best for her. It's an endearing Christmas story that's fun to read and will bring light and love into your heart. For my taste, Charlotte's unwavering trust in God to set things right in the end slightly marred the strong and willful character Rebecca Lange so skillfully created. Don't get me wrong. Writing about Angels and Demons myself, I'm by no means opposed to believing in things beyond what can be perceived by our senses or even science, but the spirit of Christmas, and the passion to fight for what's right was conveyed lovingly throughout the story without the need to play the "God will set things right" card in the end. Blind faith will get us nowhere, but to believe that there's good in every being walking the earth can help us act caring and compassionate, to be selfless and understanding, and to love unconditionally. So, in the spirit of Love - Merry Christmas to everyone. I was provided a preview copy of this book in exchange for an honest review." J.C. Seal - Friday, January 1, 2021
the warmth and passion of beautiful regency romances 4 product stars
"Well-paced romantic romp. It is definitely in keeping with the warmth and passion of beautiful regency romances, and has names you may recognise like Mr Martin, which made it fun. There aren t a lot of twists but there are some along the way. This is a story about happiness, wisdom, love, and family." Lynda - Friday, January 1, 2021
Short and Sweet 4 product stars
"This is a short, sweet little Christian romance set in the regency period. Charlotte and Hendrik, the main characters, hit it off right away, which works well for a novella. Of course, they have to fight to be together. There are some tense moments and a surprise twist. This author keeps the dignity and strength of women at the forefront of her writing. Her heroines are strong and determined, especially when it counts, which I appreciate. I rarely read romantic novellas and would be hard-pressed to give any a five-star rating. I find them too short to carry the romance deep enough to suit me. But if a light, sweet romance between two young, endearing, and beautiful people appeals to you -- and I think it would appeal to many -- you should enjoy this story." A. a sweet romance 4 product stars
"I really liked this book, It s a sweet romance story told in regency times. There are a couple of things that I quibble with, but Rebecca deals with them in the preface. From the beginning you know who Charlotte will be with, however, the way she got to him is storytelling in itself! Very good reading!" Patrick - Friday, January 1, 2021
sweet little novella 4 product stars
"Sweet little novella by Rebecca! I could see her sense of humour and wit in the story. I had a smile on my face the entire time! So many twists and turns that kept me going." Purple Rani - Friday, January 1, 2021
Delightful 3 product stars
"This was a quick Christmas novella to read. I enjoyed Lady Charlotte's character and Hendrick and their banter back and forth. It did feel like Hendrick's character was a bit more developed than Charlotte's. All the minor characters were easy to love and the situation was a perfect set up for a Christmas love story. However, I had a hard time telling who's point of view the sections were in at times. It is a delightful story for anyone who loves a good romance at Christmas time."
